Progressive Dinner

This past Saturday was our second Family Christmas Progressive Dinner.  We started out with appetizers at our house, followed by the main course at Julie's, and finally dessert at Michael and Kristy Lane's house.  Kristy's mom was in town this weekend so she was able to join us for the festivities! :) 

Jesse fell and hit the coffee table at our house and got a little cut on his eye.  Poor baby...

Look Who's Walking!!!

Our little guy has been "furniture walking" and taking a step or two every once in a while for a long time, but in the last week and a half or so he has really started taking off walking on his own. It's so crazy to watch!  It just reminds me of how big he's getting.  Sigh...  Here are a couple of pictures of Owen in action!

Next in the Cooking LineUp

My next cooking attempt was Shepherd's Pie Stuffed Potatoes... this one  got a five out of five! (How can you go wrong with meat, cheese, and potato? :O)  I even substituted an ingredient to make it gluten free for my sis who was over and got to enjoy these with us!  Actually, I substituted the cheese too... the cheese she called for was very expensive, so I stuck with plain old mozzarella.  It was still yummy!

Owen's First Trip to See Santa Claus

Monday morning we took the boys to Bass Pro (you read that correctly, Bass Pro :) to get their picture taken with Santa. It's a great deal... it's free!! They let you have your picture taken, give you a free 4 by 6 picture, and let you take pictures with your own camera. Then they have fun stuff for kids to do for free all in the store. We had a great morning! (Even though my camera was not cooperating...very dark shots)
